Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Birmingham

What better way to celebrate moving to Birmingham this month than throwing on your favorite green shirt and heading to a local St. Patrick’s Day festivity? To help you decide where to head for the holiday, All My Sons Moving & Storage local Birmingham movers have put together a guide to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Birmingham.

- Five Points South St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration, Sat. March 12 – Come join the family-friendly fun at the 32rd annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, hosted by REV Birmingham (a local economic development organization) and Five Points South (Birmingham’s premier culinary district). The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. and runs through Five Points South, down 13th Street before making a right on Cobb Lane. Our local Birmingham movers suggest getting to the celebration early to stake out a perfect parade viewing spot and staying after to participate in all the St. Patty’s Day festivities.

- Patrick’s Day Blowout at Buck Mulligan’s Public House, Thurs. March 17 – Birmingham’s authentic Irish pub, Buck Mulligan’s Public House, will be hosting its annual bash the day of St. Patrick’s Day and you won’t want to miss it! It’s the perfect time to grab a cold (green) one after moving to Birmingham, while chowing down on some of the best corned beef and cabbage around and jigging away to live Irish music by The Band Hooley.

- Patrick’s Day with USGCB Alabama Birmingham Branch at Dave’s Pub, Thurs. March 17 – Want to get involved in the local community after making a move to Birmingham? Head to Dave’s Pub off 20th Street South from 5 – 7 p.m. to learn more about what USGCB Alabama Birmingham Branch leadership team is doing to encourage “green” building within the local community.
