• Gulf shores: This part of Alabama has some of the nicest beaches around, and it is one of the best free things to do around the area. It is open to the public, and it is the perfect spot to kick back and catch some rays of sunshine this summer. Bring a beach chair, umbrella, some towels, and some of your best friends and savor the day.

There are loads of unique hiking trails that meander through the woods, and you will see dedicated hikers tackling the challenge even into the night.
